Scouting Town Land

mapOur sense of urgency is driven by the fact that Wellesley is being targeted by real estate developers taking advantage of the 40B law for the sake of profit. There are already 8 potential projects in the works in town and certainly more to come!

In the map, we have highlighted both projects under consideration (red circles) and properties which could be considered for development by the town (yellow arrows.)

By working together we can effect change and overcome complacency!

Take a walk down Stearns Rd

stearns

Take a walk down Stearns Rd in Wellesley, MA to see where a proposed 40B is being considered at 16 Stearns Rd for 36 Condominium Units on a 40,000 sq ft lot (which sits on a flood zone and ledge) designated for single family use.

Stearns Rd has no sidewalks – it is a walking path used by many children and families to connect to the Sprague Elementary School and town fields. Neighbors are concerned about the safety and health of our community as the proposed project feels very hostile!

Another 40B by the same developer for 20 apartments is proposed at 680 Worcester Road (Rt. 9) which is a stone’s throw away. (Video is under 4 minutes)
